The Company Store- Contest & BOGO Comforter Program
by Save at Home Mommy at March 8, 2011 in Give More, Online Contests
I think this is an amazing idea! The Company Store is running a program called Buy One, Give One on their comforters, in which The Company Store donates a new comforter to a homeless child for every comforter sold. This is such an amazing idea and way to really help out the community.
The Company Store, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year, is also running a contest to support art education and charitable work among America’s youth: the Kids’ Design Contest.
The winning piece will be transformed into a comforter print for their ongoing Buy One, Give One Comforter Donation Program. They will accept original artwork from children 12 years and under and submissions can be uploaded to www.Facebook.com/CompanyKids. Let us know if you submit any artwork or even if you win!

SAHM Budget Challenge- What To Do With Your Overabundance?
by Save at Home Mommy at February 22, 2011 in Budgetting, Give More
This is the last week in our SAHM Budget Challenge! I can not believe how quickly it has gone! I hope it has really helped you all learn more of the basics and start whittling away your grocery budget. One thing you will find along the way, is that you will often be faced with great sales for items that you don’t really need.
If you don’t need it don’t buy it, UNLESS, you are going to give it away to someone who does!
There are so many places and people that can use the items that you find sitting in your pantry or that you can use coupons to get for FREE or super cheap. Check out my video above to see one way that we use our free or extra items to give back to needy people in our community.
