Breakfast Recipe Ideas
With both girls home everyday now through the summer, I have more time and requests for breakfasts. I love making breakfast and often turn to breakfast recipes for dinner options when I run out of ideas. It could be a fun idea for dinner one night for everyone to get in their pj’s early, have a breakfast dinner and then have a movie night. I think I might try that next week! Anyway, if you are looking for new breakfast recipes, check out Recipe Lion’s newest eCookbook for 29 FREE Breakfast recipes.

Glorious, My Eyes Have Seen The Glory Of The Lord!
Yesterday, we took a trip with my parents who are visiting up to the Sequoia National Park. It was my first time and theirs as well. There were moments that literally took my breath away. As we drove up there, there was a gorgeous lake that was overflowing from all the rain and snow we have had. It was nestled right in the valley of the mountains. Today when we sang this song at church, I imagined myself right in the middle of that lake surrounded by the towering mountains, some still covered in snow, with the gorgeous red woods in the distance and the beautiful blue sky above. Glorious, my eyes truly saw the glory of my Lord!
Lord You Are Good And Your Mercy Endures Forever!
All Who Are Thirsty, All Who Are Weak
I woke up with this song in my head and find it such encouragement that I thought I would share it with you. I hope maybe it will comfort you today that there is someone who wash all the pain and sorrow that you may be feeling away in the waves of His mercy.
The Arms That Hold The Universe
My favorite lyrics by far:
“And the arms that hold the universe are holding you tonight, you can rest inside, its gonna be alright. And the voice that calmed the raging sea, is calling you his child so be still and know He’s in control, He will never let you go.”
.
I hope you all have a great day relaxing with your families and that you are well acquainted with the arms that hold the universe!
He Is Risen, He Is Risen Indeed!

I am sure that when we talk to my dad today, he will say “He is risen!” to which my oldest will respond, “He is risen indeed!”, just as he has done for every year I can remember. What a wonderful day we celebrate today, the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.
.
This week, my oldest was home on Spring Break so I made myself slow down a little and enjoy my time with her. Each day we did something special and one day she decided we should make Easter cookies to bring to our neighbors. After we were done, we went into our bathroom to get cleaned up before naptime and she began asking me questions about Easter. She knew all the “right” answers to my questions but I quickly realized she did not fully understand what it meant or the reason we celebrated. We sat on my bed for at least 30 minutes and walked through the entire story of Jesus being arrested, sentenced to die, carrying his cross, being beaten and pierced with the sword and finally dying. Then we talked about how they took his body and placed it in a tomb but when his friends came back to see it, only the cloth remained and his body was gone. We talked about why he chose to die and that it made a way for us to be able to live with him forever, even though we were the ones that deserved to die because of our bad choices. I hope that I never forget that sweet conversation with her and the amazement in her eyes as she realized the sacrifice that was made for her and for everyone, even the people that had done “bad things” as she put it.
.
My prayer is that she will never loose that sense of wonder and amazement at his sacrifice and his resurrection. How thankful I am that He did not stay in that tomb but that He is risen. indeed!
.
I hope you are able to have a great day celebrating and having fun with your families as we celebrate that amazing resurrection, I know I will:)
