Build-A-Bear Workshop has recalled about 300,000 Colorful Hearts Teddy Bears sold in the United States and Canada. The eyes of these bears present a choking hazard. If you purchased the Colorful Hearts Teddy Bear between April and December you can return it to any Build-A-Bear location for a coupon good for any available stuffed animal.

Just a quick heads up that I am going to be spending my Monday morning with Channel 29’s Cambi Brown and her crew at my house!!  Want to know what time?  4:30 AM!  Yes, I did say 4:30 in the morning!  I am not sure how I am going to get myself going that early, but anything to get the word out about coupons and saving money!

We will be live doing 4 different segments throughout the morning show from 5:00-7:00.  I am sure many of you will be choosing to set the DVR’s for this one but hopefully some of you are crazy enough to be up that early:)  Keep an eye on the  Eyewitness News BakersfieldNow Facebook page on Sunday and Monday morning to submit questions you would like answered during one of the segments.  Feel free to post them in the comments section below as well so I can keep them in mind!

I have to say a HUGE thank you to all of you my wonderful readers!  I tell people all the time what wonderful readers you all are and you have proven it once again!  The results came out this past week for the 2011 Best Of Kern and I was second place in two different categories!!  I know some people would not be thrilled with second place but I am for sure.  In both categories I was beat out by the local newspaper’s website and the conglomeration of their 15 personal blogs.  I did however, beat out all the local news stations websites and several other major city websites. 

You do not even know how much this means to me to have gotten even close to this amount of votes.  I can not thank you enough for validating all of the hard work that I put into this site each day.

Several months ago, I filmed a piece for our local news channel 29 KBAK with Kurt Rivera as part of their money saving series.  I am excited to announce that it is finally about to air!  You can catch the two part series on:
