I get so many ideas at my MOPS group, I just have to share this with you! During the Christmas seasons it’s easy to lose sight of what Christmas is all about. It’s not about Santa or all the gifts under the tree, but it’s truly about what God did for us and how we can share that with others. Trying to explain all this to my 2 year old has been tricky. I don’t always know how much she comprehends, so I decided that we would give gifts to others in our life to show them how much they mean to us.

For instance, we bought our neighbors cookies and tied a pretty red bow to the top and Kallie gave them their cookies and said Merry Christmas. I don’t tell you this for any praise, but just to give you the idea. Also, giving small gifts, like a tin of cookies, an ornament, a candle, or something, to your mail man, the trash man, and/or your gardener just shows them and your children what Christmas is all about! I love this idea! So, this weekend let your children help you get your gifts together, have them write a thank you card, and give your gifts to those in your life! Merry Christmas!
