Weekend Project: Grocery Bag Container!
by Aimee at October 29, 2011 in Household, Household Tips, Organization
Isn’t this so cool?!? Above is the container of grocery bags that I made. You take your grocery bags, roll them up, and store them in a disinfectant wipes container! For the full tutorial go HERE. Instead of fabric I just used scrapbook paper and scrapbook tape. I thought the ribbon tied the whole thing together. Enjoy your weekend, and have fun organizing all your grocery bags!
Thanks, TaterTots&Jello

Bulk Buying: My Solution To Torn Plastic Bags
by Aimee at August 26, 2011 in Food, Food Tips, Household, Organization
So are you a bulk buyer? Some people think it’s gross, some find it a time to taste test their favorite candy, others find it a way of life. From flour to cereal, dog food to candy, pasta to spices, lets face it there is a lot out there to buy. I personally would consider myself a bulk buyer because it’s affordable, however, I hate storing my food in those clear plastic bags. Recently I made a trip to the Dollar Tree in hopes to find something that would store my bulk items; and so that I won’t have to constantly deal with torn spilled food in my pantry! I think I found the perfect solution and I just have to share it with you!
Ok, so this is just some of my bulk buying, but aren’t these containers just perfect!?! For just $1.00 per container I’m able to keep my food fresh, and organized. Here I am storing jasmine rice, organic oats, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, and pretzels (I also buy all my dry beans in bulk). These are items that I only buy on sale (in bulk and at my stock-up price), however, if I have a coupon for a name brand product and I can get it cheaper than in the bulk section, then you can bet I’ll buy it. If you are a bulk buyer, then consider this storing option or if you have your own system, then please share!

HOT- Lock & Lock Online Deal
by Save at Home Mommy at June 17, 2011 in Daily Deals, Online Shopping, Organization

OK, so I get asked all the time about my food storage containers because they are awesome! They used to sell them at Walmart but they don’t carry them anymore. I have looked around and the ones I have found online have always been expensive. The great news? Groupon has a deal for them online today under Los Angeles! Spend $25 for $50 Worth of Food Containers, Living Storage, and Kitchenware from Lock & Lock. It doesn’t count toward shipping but here are their rates which seem great to me!
Effective 5/15/2011, the following shipping rates will be applied.
(Order Amount : Shipping Rates)
- Orders of up to $19.99 : $3.99
- $20.00~$39.99 : $4.99
- $40.00~$59.99 : $5.99
- $60.00~$79.99 : $6.99
- $80.00~ : $7.99
I use these for cereal, coffee beans and baking supplies and they really keep things super fresh for a long time! It seems as though the site got slammed with traffic so if it is slow, be patient. Here is what Groupon had to say:
Hi All-
Holly here with Groupon. As you all know, often our awesome features sell more than expected. Please be patient as Lock & Lock’s site is experiencing heavy traffic. The feature will be available to buy until Sunday night at midnight, so if the site isn’t working right now, try again later and I’m sure you’ll be able to view their great products!
Thanks!
**I already bought mine so I can get some more!

by Save at Home Mommy at May 24, 2011 in Coupon Binder, Organization

I know several of you have emailed and commented on when the pink binder option would return and it has:) Just wanted to make sure that you were all aware if you were waiting to place your order. I have also changed around the ordering process which allows for shipping customized by weight, lowering the cost on most orders! Order your Save At Home Mommy Coupon Binder today to get all your coupons organized and start really saving. Check out this feedback from a pleased customer:
“When I received the binder for a review on my blog, I decided to organize the Coupon Binder and actually use it for a shopping trip – just to see if it really helped. I’ll be honest – I thought my system was already pretty good and I was very skeptical of not only a new coupon system, but also carrying a binder to the store with me. Wow…did I change my mind quickly! Let me just say the Coupon Binder is AMAZING! Everything is there at the flip of a page. It’s easy to organize and fits in the cart perfectly. Using the binder for just one shopping trip saved me a lot more than usual and made shopping so much faster. My husband even asked me how I finished so quickly. I told him I had everything organized and I knew exactly what I was buying at each store. I am hooked on the Coupon Binder and will never shop without it! If you want to save more money and make shopping easier and more organized, I HIGHLY recommend this product!”
