I went to Albertsons yesterday to scope out the new coupon booklet and doublers and was prepared with my Prego coupons.  I asked the cashier if there was a limit on how many doublers I could use at once and she said no.  I am sure, as always, that each cashier may be different but I checked out with another cashier and used 4 doublers at once.  The only problem came with the fact that all of the ones I picked up were marked at .99 each but when I swiped my card, the discount only came off for 3 of the jars.  The manager was super nice and helped figure it out right away and credit me the right amount.  With the sale, coupons and doublers, I got these all completely FREE!

I actually had an hour last night on my own to run out and grab some sales so I made a run to Target.  It has been a while since I have gotten deals this good there and I was able to stock up on some things for school lunches.  All of the matchups for these are listed in our post HERE except for the Crystal Light and Schick Hydro.  Crystal Light is on sale for $1.97 and I had 3 $2.00 off coupons and the Schick Hydro razors are $6.99 with a $5.00 off from 6/13 SS and a $4.00 off Target coupon from  6/20 SS.

**On a side note, I was totally impressed with my cashier and how quickly and easily everything went!  The only coupons that beeped were the band aid coupons and he pushed them through.  The rest went in just fine and many of them adjusted their value on their own.  For instance, my $2.00 off Crystal Light coupons rang in as $1.97 since that is how much they cost and the same with my Chef Boyardee.  They have obviously programmed the computers to fix some of these.  I still got overage on some of them though so I am not sure which ones it is catching?

I got my chance during nap time today to head to Vons for some deals and some things we needed.  Most of what I did was included in the Vons weekly deals list but here are a few notes:

First we went to Superior Market on White Lane and got 2 of the ads from their store.  There is a coupon for $4.00 off when you buy 4 Coke fridge packs and a $1.00 off 5 Kraft Mac n Cheese boxes.

Then it was on to CVS to see if they had any of the Gillette Mens Bodywash and I was in luck!  I got 4 and used (2) BOGO coupons and (1) $4.00/2 coupon.  I even had a $4.00 ECB from last week so I only paid the tax and got back $8.00 in ECBs.  If your store is out of these, today is the last day so be sure to pick up a rain check. 

We were driving to Albertsons when I saw a Food Maxx and remembered the coupons I had gotten in the mail.  We ran in and got a few of the coupon items but the best deals were:

Bar S hot dogs-.39 each with the coupon from the mailer
Used $1.00/2 that was previously on redplum.com 

Final Price= FREE + overage

Mac N Cheese Explosion- .33 each with in mailer coupon, limit 3
I bought 5 so 2 of them were .58 each

Finally, we ran into Albertsons to get some of the grapes for .79 each and the great soda deal I posted about in the deals list.  It worked great!

I am going to go back and see if I can do the same thing again but also use my FREE fridge pack coupon to get one for FREE along with my $4.00 off coupon from the Superior ad.  I am not sure if they will let me but it is certainly worth a try and nothing lost if they don’t let me.  This deal is good through Tuesday so you have a little more time, although it could put you in great shape if you are grilling out on Monday.

I love these containers!  The lids fit both sizes and they stay closed very well.  They are deeper which is great for serving my girls cereal or making oatmeal in so they spill a lot less.  You can also use them for storing small things in which is perfect since they are clear.

I love the Classico pasta sauce!  The alfredo is great to mix with 1/2 tomato sauce for a yummy sauce and while I usually buy whole grain pasta, it is nice to have some regular for company or to bring for meals to people.  I love making a lasagna with short noodles instead of lasagna noodles.  It is much more family friendly and the kids can eat it easily.

**One more note.  I stopped in earlier today as well to check on some prices and I grabbed some of the cleaning supplies that are $4.99 when you buy 2.  I bought the All detergent and a $1.00 ecoupon came off as well even though I didn’t get the specific variety.  It is no longer available to save but you may already have it in your account if you saved it.

After an insane week full of driving tests, jury duty, stomach flu, Mother’s Day at my daughter’s school, 2 year old birthday party and much more, I was finally able to get out of the house today to get some much needed groceries.  I was able to stock up on some things that were actually on my stock up list and get a few treats as well.  I also went at just the right time to cash in on the Starbuck’s happy hour and get a Frappuccino for only $1.95 and I used my gift card from Swagbucks.  You can find all the details of the sales at Vons this week HERE to find all the coupon match-ups and more.

I did this in 2 transactions with 3 Hallmark cards, 1 journal, 5 glade relaxing moments candles, 4 Nabisco 100 calorie packs and 20 yoplait yogurts in the first transaction.  I then used all the catalinas from those to pay for my second transaction with all the rest.  Some were great deals and some were just things we needed or wanted.

My total was $60 and then I got back another $5 catalina for my second set of 3 Hallmark cards making my final total $55. 

.

I am loving the Hallmark card deal for sure and am stocking my supply with really nice cards at a super price.  The free desk accessories are awesome too and will make for great gifts.

OK, this week I am trying something a little different! Below is my shopping trip from last night at Vons.  Leave comments or link to your shopping trips and best finds from this past week!  It is ok to brag a little on your best savings and share ideas and scenarios with other readers so bring it on.  You can also share on our Facebook page!

Dear anyone who might have seen me last night, I am so sorry!  There is nothing like a Zumba class to make me realize that I am not Latin, nor can I move like I am Latin.  I apologize for how insane I must have looked, especially after months of not going to the gym at all, but I had so much fun:)  I love being able to get such a great workout and have fun all at the same time.  Also an apology to anyone who had to see, or smell, me at Vons after I had just worked out:)  I got some great deals and chatted with one of my favorite managers about some of their coupon policies.  Here are a few things of note:

#1- My local manager said that they were told that they should refuse any coupons that say manufacturer coupons at the top but have another store’s logo on them.  For instance, the many printable coupons on Target’s site that say manufacturer coupon but have the Target logo on them.  I am sure it will probably vary by cashier but that is what they have been told.

#2- I asked about using BOGO coupons with BOGO sales and he said that to the best of his knowledge, they are not allowed to take them and the computer will almost always beep on them.

I hope that helps some of you although I am sure it will vary by cashier and store just like always, but they can fall back on this.

I cashed in on a few more of the great deals this week including lots of cheese!  My girls love the little packs and since it will all freeze well, I am stocking up.  I also got some peanut butter, pickles and a bag of apples because we needed them.  I had a coupon from a previous trip for the apples.  I also bought a bunch of the Sun Rype fruit strips that are .59 each and used the BOGO coupons on coupons.com to get them for .29 each.

I then got back (2) $3.00 cats for the starter kits

(2) $2.00 cats for the Windex and (2) $1.00 cats for the refills
Final Price= $3.67 PROFIT!!

I then used all those cats to pay for the rest of my spoils in another transaction which totaled only .31 after all my coupons and cats.

Final Price for everything= $8.64 (would have been $10.64 without the $2.00 cat I started with)

Total Savings= 86% off the first transaction and 99% on the second.

OK, there is no way I could even begin to detail all this out for you!  I made so many mistakes and the cashier made so many mistakes, I could hardly explain it all.  A few notes though:

• I used the BOGO Classico coupons from coupons.com.  They were only $1.49 if you bought 3 or more making all six jars only $4.50.
• I got about 4 pounds of chicken breasts
• A lot of the other things I had several ecoupons for each one and paper coupons making them FREE or profit for buying
• I bought the Lean Pockets because I needed to spend $10 in frozen food to use my $10 catalina that expired today and my husband loves them:)

For all that is pictured above:

Total Out of Pocket= $46.31

I also got $4.00 in catalinas for my Windex

Final Price= $42.31

(I had $14.00 in catalinas that I used to pay so my out of pocket was less.  I paid for the Windex first and used a $4.00 catalina, then I got $4.00 that I used to pay for the rest in another transaction so I only paid $32.31)

Even with all my many mistakes, I still saved $127!  This just goes to show that no matter how often you do all of this and how much you know, sometimes you make mistakes.

I have gotten several comments from readers about problems with the Extend A Clean deal I posted about HERE.  I went in today and used exactly what I posted and it went exactly as planned with no problems.  The starter kits were $6.99 and I used (2) $5.00 off coupons and then used (2) buy a starter kit, get a refill kit free coupons on my two refills.  I paid $3.98 and then got a $4.00 catalina coupon back after I paid. 

.

I ended up getting 15 of the Buy 5, Save $5 promo items and a few other deals.  I had a coupon for FREE cakesters that I used with the Nabisco facebook coupon to get my Oreos and Cakesters both for FREE with my milk.  That makes me smile:)

All told, I paid $36.00 and saved $94.23 or 73%!
