Special Promotions


There is a separate Book of Savings coupon booklet that came out in the mail.  They are full of coupons and special 2 week long prices as well as 2 “doubler” coupons on the back.  These coupons can be used to double the amount of any one manufacturer coupon up to $1.00.  There is a limit of one coupon per transaction.  If you use a doubler with a coupon valued at higher than $1.00, the doubler will count as $1.00.  I will write up a separate list with all the deals from the coupon booklet since all the dates are different.

    Are the doublers in Bakersfield as well? I’m dying to know!!!

      Yes! There was a booklet in my mail yesterday with the ad. If your ad comes today, hopefully it will be in there as well. I know others got theirs in Bakersfield yesterday and I am waiting to see if they put them out in the stores as well or just by mail.

        just by mail… they did give me more inserts at the store and I got all excited, but pure disappointment… The inserts in the store do NOT have the doublers on the back, but still there are some coupons in there.

      Yes, it says limit of one coupon per transaction. This makes it easy to defend putting your items into separate transactions since it doesn’t say per person.

    So to clarify, since I have never done the doubling. It says it will double a coupon up to a $1 value, so if you have a coupon for a $1 off will it double it to take $2 off or does it not double it at all since the coupon is already for $1

      Yes, if you have $1.00 off, it will become $2.00 off. If you have $2.00 off, it will become $3.00 off. If youhave $.50 off, it will become $1.00 off. Does that make sense?

    Question??
    My book has a B1G1 on the foster farms chicken breast. I printed the coupons for $2.50/2 Foster Farms Boneless and Skinless Breast and the $1/1, could I use the $2.50 for the B1G1 since it is 2? Or does the free one not count??

      This is a tricky one but Albertsons policy does not say anything about not using a coupon on a free item. I would give them the $2.50/2 coupon first and then the Albertsons coupon. You could also use a doubler to make it $3.50/2. That is all perfectly legal but the more complex it gets, the better the chance of them getting confused and then just not wanting to do it.

        Also, if they gave you a hard time, you could just use the $1.00 off with a doubler to get $2.00 off.

    I go to my local Post office and get extra coupon booklets from the recycling bins where the people with PO boxes dump their ads. I have gotten extra JC Penny coupons and even Kohl’s $10 off $10 coupons as well. HTH

    I just came back from Albertsons on Panama Lane & they had a lot of the coupon booklets on the rack next to the doors. They even had some outside. I was able to get 6 of the Foster Farms Chicken Breasts with the BOGO’s & 3 $2.50 of 2 coupons. I also gave her a doubler & she doubled $2.50! I didn’t notice until I got home.

    This same Albertsons Tostitos coupon is also good for Sun Chips 2/$4
    I was able to use-
    (1) $2/2 Sun Chips from the Pepsi insert(the coupon is $2 off 2 bags of Sun chips or Lays kettle chips) and
    (2)Free two liter of Sierra Mist when you purchase Sun Chips (Pepsi insert)

    Total 2 bags of Sun Chips and 2 bottles of Sierra Mist for $2.42 (tax&crv)

    I did this twice and on one order I used double coupons so that order was $1.42!

    I did have to explain the coupon for the free Sierra Mist because it pictures two bags of chips and the soda but it does say with the purchases of one bag of chips not two, after they read it correctly there was no issue.

    Hello,

    I am still new to this whole extreme couponing and had a questions regarding the SoCal Albertsons ad for this week. It has a Sun Chip in store coupon for buy 2 for $4. I also have the Pepsi coupon for $2.00 off any purchase of 2 bags of Sun Chips and the coupon for a free Sierra Mist when you do. Can I use all three coupons in one transaction? So it would be buy 2 in store coupon for $4 then $2 off to make it 2/$2 and a free Sierra Mist? Is that right???? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

      Yes, this does work. Yesterday I purchased 2 bags of Sun Chips and 2 bottles of Sierra Mist, I did it twice in two different transactions. The total for all four (2 soda and 2 sun chips) was $2.42 with the tax and crv. Make sure if they say anything to you that you point out that for the free soda that you only have to buy the one bag of Sun chips or the kettle chips and not both because the picture on the coupon seemed to confuses the cashier at first but, once she read that it said OR and not AND there was no issues. Good Luck!!

      1) 2/$4 sun chips (from the Albertsons sale paper)
      1) 2/$2 bags of Sun Chips (Pepsi insert)
      2) Free 2 litter of Sierra Mist with the purchase of a bag of Sun Chips (Pepsi insert)

      (and you can use one of the doubling coupons that came on the back of the Albertsons Book of Savings, if you got one in the mail, it will double up to $1 so your total is under $2)

    The last time Albertson’s had a deal on Kelloggs, I found peelies on Rice Krispies for $1 off fresh fruit WYB 2. They expire 7/31/11. Also look for coupon packs inside the Krispies. They are $5 Breakfast Savings booklets and there are 3 versions of them.
