Just wanted to clarify on the mix and match buy 5 get $5 sale…do I have have to buy all 5 items out of the $1 category or the $1.50 category, etc. Example:I’m buying 5 Betty Crocker fruit snacks, will I get the Nut Clusters at the $1.50 price if I only buy 1 or do I need 5 out of the $1.50 category too? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!
You can buy any 5 items included in the promo and you can also buy multiples of 5 in the same transaction. I bought 15 at once and the $5.00 came off 3 times at the end.
I went this morning before I read this and bought 7 of the promo items thinking I’d get all of the promo prices since I’d bought more than 5. When I checked out I saw that they ring up regular price and then they give you $5 savings at the bottom. Bottom line-You must buy in multiples of 5. I’ll know for next time.
I found one of the flavors of the Yoplait Delights marked down for ‘overstock’ at Vons here in Bakersfield for $1.49. Used a $1.00 e-coupon and got it for $.49! (Regular price is over $3.00!)
Went tonight and found out that the new Wheaties Fuel cereal is part of the Buy 5 promo…outstanding when you put it with the $1.00 off or $.75 printable coupons that have been available lately…
Thank you *so* much for your post on this through the Grocery Gathering. With your help, I *rocked* this deal Friday night — 15 items and paid $2.85! 95 percent off!
I did one of the salad deals:
* 3 Maries salad dressings
* 1 mushroom
* 1 salad mix
Did two of the $5 off 5 deals:
* Three boxes of Corn Flakes
* One Quaker cereal
* One Chocolate Cherrios
* Two Nut Clusters
* One Nature Valley granola bars
* Two Betty Crocker fruit snacks
Got *paid* to buy several items with coupons and Ecoupons and a couple others free. Averaged 19 cents a piece for 15 items!
I was so proud, I blogged on it: http://prohomemaker.com/?p=457
Thank you, thank you for such a thorough post. You helped me beat my personal best ever!
