My Walgreens Run With the $5 off $25 Coupon

I got up this morning and decided that I should make my run to Walgreens early so I didn’t get there and all the good deals be gone:) I could have spent less out of pocket but I got the things I wanted and that we will use which is always the whole point! You can find the link to the coupons and all the details of the sales for this week HERE. Here are the details of my transaction:
3 Theraflu- 1 bottle had a bonus of 2 packets on the back- $4 each- used $2 off Walgreens coupon in the Healthy Savings Booklet in stores that took off $2 for each so $6 total ( I have a friend who loves Theraflu so I knew I could give her some:)
Vaseline Infusion Lotion- $6.99- used $1.50 off printable
Halls refresh- 1.00- used .75 off
Chapstick Effects- 2.99
Herbal Essences Shampoo- 2.99- used 1.00 off
Nail Polish Remover- on sale 1.59
I also used my $5 off $25 coupon and a $5 RR that I had from last week.
Total Out of Pocket= $9.42
Got back $21.00 in RR- $8 from Theraflu, $7 from Vaseline, $1 from Halls, $3 from Chapstick and $2 from Herbal Essences
Net total NOT including the $5 RR I paid with= $6.58 PROFIT!!
How did you only have $9 and some change out of pocket if you have to use all of your coupons before the 5 off of 25? Can you use your RR after the 2 off of 25?
That is a very good question!! I never even thought about the fact that it was supposed to be $25 after coupons! Aparently that may not be the case? That is realy the only explanation. The coupons did not beep or anything. I even thought when I was typing it up that I thought I was going to have to pay more than that:) Well, I guess it goes to show that no matter how long you are doing this, you still make mistakes. This one just happened to still work out. I will have to check around and see if there are other reports of this!
I think this answer may already be out there… but, can you use more than one RR on a single purchase?

You can check my Getting Started guide in the menu bar for answers to a lot of questions about register rewards. Basically they are counted as a manufacturer coupon and Walgreens policy is that you can only have one manu coupon per item. So, if you have 5 items and 3 manufacturer coupons, you could use 2 register rewards in addition. Hope that helps. If not, check the guide and if still not, ask any other questions and I will do my best to clear it all up for you.
We have been sick around here all week, so the deals were a definate must have. We went to Wags today and spent $62 OOP (YIKES), but walked away with tons of stuff, and $60 RR. I figure I will use them to roll stuff in the coming weeks, and if it comes to it, get halloween costumes and christmas presents. I even bought myself a book and some halloween decorations!
